Romans 8:18-21 MSG
I don’t think there’s any comparison between the present hard times and the coming good times. The created world itself can hardly wait for what’s coming next. Everything in creation is being more or less held back. God reins it in until both creation and all the creatures are ready and can be released at the same moment into the glorious times ahead. Meanwhile, the joyful anticipation deepens.
For those with a calling on their life…A promise from God.
For those standing against the circumstances. Those who are in the middle.
For anyone who is standing in obedience. For those with the faith to believe that His word is true, that He is powerful enough to do the impossible, and that He is good and has good plans for your life.
Standing in the gap. Being an intercessor. Believing in impossible promises.
God’s Word is filled with stories of faith. For those of us living out those stories in our daily lives as we intercede. For a loved one, a spouse, a child, a marriage, a family. For a promise for your future. For salvation. For His calling on your life.
For those who put their comforts aside and walk willingly into the valley, because it is where He is going. May these blogs inspire you to continue interceding and standing. Because standing is for more then just our desires. It’s for our loved ones. It’s for future generations. It’s for those around us. It’s for the Lord.
We know that there is an end to this valley. Lord, carry us by your strength into the Promised land.
Isaiah 41:8-10 “But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend, I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, ‘You are my servant’; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Philippians 1:6 “…he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion….”
John 9:3b “…this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.”
